Saving raw file adjustment

Recommended Posts

It would be nice to be able to save all adjustments made in a raw file, not the raw file itself, just the adjustments into a folder/file you choose, like landscape.adj for example. This way, if you had to stop your adjustment work for whatever reason,  you can load the original raw file and apply the adjustments you saved and continue your work. This would not require you to save another raw file or contaminate the original, all you would be saving are the adjustments.

We can save the current settings (before developing) as a preset for each of the tabs: Basic, Lens, Details and Tones. I frequently use this if I have a series of raw files I want to have developed the same. Click in the Preset dropdown and choose Add Preset. I name it after the file number/name. I am also rigorous in deleting them.

A caveat is that to apply the preset you have to click on it in the list even if it is already showing.

There is a lot to dislike about the current manner of working in the Develop persona.

Post Script this is the Designer Forum, perhaps a moderator could move it to the Photo forum.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.2
Affinity Designer 2.3.1 | Affinity Photo 2.3.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.3.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thanks. I wasn’t aware of that.
