When I open Publisher document (28 pages: 26 of them with text and the same background image and 2 with images) - all pages (text and images) for 15 sec are blur and then normal. BUG?

It look more like the time needed for your computer to load the full or higher resolution of your pages to display.

I wonder if View Quality = Nearest Neighbour, Use precise clipping = Off and Retina Rendering = Low Quality speeds up loading / rendering. To be honest: I never noticed a difference between all the Performance options in APu.

I too can vouch for this. I have 451 pages with images on almost every page.

I can confirm this happens with the current release as well.

You think that for Core i5 and 24Gb memory needs more time?

451 pages wiith images, perhaps... Can you test on another computer?

I believe this is normal and is a way to give you control of the document as quickly as possible after opening it. Loading the higher resolution image can be done in a background process while you're doing other things like typing text or placing new images.

I have hundreds of high resolution images linked in my document and all of the images are blurry when I first open it, but Publisher starts showing me higher resolution versions after a few seconds. The effect will be less noticeable with smaller documents or a faster processor of course.

Yes I can understand but even once the who document is loaded it remains blurred until I click on it or zoom in or out. To be honest I am not too bothered as at this stage is not that important to me. It's just because it was brought up...

No I cannot unfortunately. To be fair my machine is 4 years old.
