Curtis Grindahl
I tried the BETA because the most recent version of Publisher crashed EVERY time I tried to Export a PDF copy. That actually makes Publisher worthless to me. I was able to get through the sequence of saving with the BETA but the moment a dialogue box appeared I got a message the file was corrupted and then the software crashed. I'm working on Mac OS 11.6. A friend suggested I "print" the document and when the printer box appears to save it as a PDF. I could do that, but I have no control over quality in that instance. So Preview can save a PDF copy by Publisher won't let me do it. I think something needs to be attended to.
Staff Pauls Posted October 4, 2021 Staff Share Posted October 4, 2021 we would need the source files to investigate You can upload them securely here. Ideally saving as a package if you can
Dennison
I am having the same issue. PDFLib - only issue I can see is ""Value 0.217 for option 'miterlimit' is too small (minimum 1)"]" The document has NO hyperlinks - I have not added any and the Hyperlinks Panel is blank. Is the secure upload link still value? AP 1.10.5 1214 Mac 11.6.2 thanks.

Staff Pauls Posted January 18, 2022 Staff Share Posted January 18, 2022 seems to be a problem with the svg on page 22 can you post a copy of that please
Staff Pauls Posted January 18, 2022 Staff Share Posted January 18, 2022 it will probably do due to a mitre that is set to less than 1. You will have ot work around that by changing that or rasterizing the image
Dennison
Thank you for checking. Here is the image as 1) SVG 2) EPS I checked through almost all the elements; the minimum Mitre I found was 1.4. Changed all to 2 Tried exporting as pdf with updated image: 1) image as SVG 2) image as EPS 3) NO image - still get error message. Staff Pauls Posted January 20, 2022 Staff Share Posted January 20, 2022 It narrows down to the Stray Wires - they all have a small mitre limit. Try setting that to 2 on the items in that group. (Test you have then all by exporting to PDF ). We suspect the object came from inkscape ?
Dennison
Thank you. I will make the suggested changes and let you know. Yes, those images may have started on Inkscape - before I discovered Affinity and moved over. I've been steadily re-working all the images. The new book I am currently developing already has 1200 images created in AD and laid out in AP. I can't praise and thank Serif enough! many thanks, Den Pauls
Dennison
Thank you! Problem solved - document now exports. I changed all mitres to 4 and also reentered the text with Text tool - it had been entered with Artistic. Thank you so much for your swift troubleshooting.
