Always initializing

Hi @evtonic3,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble!

This isn't something I've heard of previously - have you recently updated to iOS 15 please?

If possible, could you provide a screen recording showing the 'initializing' you're referring to?

Many thanks in advance :)

Many thanks!

Many thanks for your recording! I can see your iPad was locked at the start of this recording, how long had the Affinity app been inactive?

As far as I understand it, once 'left alone' for a certain period of time in multitasking, the app will enter a 'suspended' state as to not use up processing power/battery from your iPad, so when returning to the app it will need to re-initialize before the app can be used.

As I can see from forum threads on the Apple forums (be sure to select 'All Replies'), it appeared this was made 'more aggressive' around iOS 13.2s release, as this isn't something the Affinity apps control -

I hope this clears things up :)
