Hi, I am starting using Affinity from a couple of weeks. Now I have a question: trying to edit a jpeg pano for patching the tripod in the nadir, color and exposure, when I export the image it's no more recognized as a pano neither in the Kuula site that in my desktop viewer!! Also a noticed that there is a great increment in the "weight" of the image: from 15 megabytes to 50! Any suggestions? Thanks

Hello @Alberto V. and elcome to the forums.

Your exported image is a jpeg file. There is nothing in it to tell any external software that it is a panorama file except your visual perception. The change in the file size could be because you have saved it at a higher quality than the original. Bear in mind that a panorama is a composite of several originals so you would expect it to be larger.

JPEG is a compressed image format.
When you open an image for editing it is uncompressed into memory.
That uncompressed image is usually much larger.
Then if you keep that image in an uncompressed format for further editing, like in a photo editor file format, then the file size will be related to the uncompressed size.
Then once you are done editing, you can re-export the image to a smaller compressed format.

I picked a NASA JPEG image which is 14.0 MB, 4480x4480 (20.1 MP), 24-bit color,
and uncompressed that image is 57.4 MB.
If it were converted to 32-bit color that would be even larger.

The jpeg file generated by the software of my pano camera (XPhase Pro X2) is correctly recognized by Kuula as a panorama, but not these obtained by Affinity!

I would guess that your camera is adding a metadata tag to the exported jpeg which Kuula is then reading. In an image exported from your camera, use the Metadata Panel in Photo (open using View > Studio >Metadata). Then choose the File option in the dropdown list. Then look at the keywords tag to see if there is a Panorama entry. If this identifies the right tag, then you can add a similar keyword to your panorama files generated by Photo before exporting to jpeg.

I am only guessing as to where such a Panorama tag would be located. If you cannot find it, then  post an image as expored from your camera, then I or someone elce could help you locate it.
