Export changing the noise

Recommended Posts

My images look completely different in the program from when they export. I prefer the noise that I can see in the program but when I export it smooths everything out and doesn't look right. I'm not super well versed in Affinity Photo so can't figure out why my display is so different in the program. I have bullnear selected for viewing and exporting. It's like the filters, effects and adjustments aren't exporting or something. Here is a screenshot of the image within the program vs the exported png

Welcome to the Affinity Forums!

Noise is a "Screen Space" effect. This means that its scale is tied to the screen resolution.

To see exactly what noise will look like after exporting, you need to look at the document at 100% scale.
To do that, select pixels as units, then double-click on the magnifying glass icon.

Or select the "Hand Tool", select pixels as units, right click on the workspace, select 100%

Or Select 100% from the View > Zoom submenu or use the keyboard shortcut for that.
