Publisher-Columns in textframes

Hello,

I have a problem with adding a second column to my text frame. I followed the tutorials by creating a text frame with some text. Then I tried to add a further column in the selection field above. But nothing happens. Did I forgot something?

Hi @Ille von Harbou Welcome to the forums.

You can either use the Context Toolbar or the Text Frame Tab to add/adjust columns.

Thank you for the quick response!

I tried it the same way, but publisher didn’t make any subdivisions in my text frame  🤔. I can choose any further number of columns in the context toolbar but without any effects on the text frame.

Is there a secret button to unlock this 😂?

Sorry, I've no idea why it's not working for you! Any chance you could post a screen shot, or, even better, a video of exactly what you're doing?

Also, where is the tutorial you're following?

Maybe too obvious even to mention but are you sure you have a frame text layer (one showing the "T" in a square thumbnail in the Layers panel) selected when you change the number of columns in the Text Frame panel?
