Affinity Publisher constantly crashes and freezes. I work with a simple 500x1000mm file with some text and a few imported raster and vector objects. I make a few movements and after 30 seconds everything hangs. I tried creating the file from scratch, but the effect is the same. I am working on a macbook pro 2017 13" with 4 thunderbolt ports. I have changed metal, openGL and other options many times in performance settings. I'm having a hard time bitching about it. Since I switched from adobe to your products after paying money for them. I don't see support responses in the app store and I don't see bugfix of my problem. I hope you can help me out. Especially since there are already similar reviews on the app store from people who can't work with your program.

I gave your document a try and could not find any problems when trying the things you suggested so the good news is it doesn't appear to be a problem with the document and your work is safe.

Which version of macOS are you running? Do you have the latest non-beta version of Publisher installed?

Thank you. I use latest version of Publisher and Big Sur. I suppose, some of placed files make troubles. I use svg instead eps as placed vector elements. Is it correct?

I'm old school and prefer EPS but I know some of the young un's prefer SVG these days. Both should work but if you're having problems one of the first things I would do is to try a different format like EPS.

I have also started having issues with crashing...My document is bigger (just under 20MB), but nothing outrageous.  I'm on Windows 10, 64 bit.  I've rebooted the computer multiple times....the graphics I have inserted are all pdf with the exception of one png.

@barabas So far I haven't had any issues with your file during testing. Would you be able to retrieve some crash reports from the OS and upload them here for checking to see if anything stands out.

Also try saving your project as a Package (File > Save As Package), once saved open the file within that and see if that has the same issues.
