Can't hide grid lines after creating it

Hi

When I create a grid for my artboard and want to toggle it on and off as I'm working, the Show / Hide Grid function is not working and neither is the shortcut keyboard Ctrl+;

Press shift + ctrl + ' 

Maybe u don't need the shift key pressed, as I'm on german keyboard.

Are you talking about Grids or Guides?

The Ctrl+; shortcut is to Show/Hide Guides and the Ctrl+' shortcut is to Show/Hide the Grid. However I have found both are working for me using menu options and keyboard shortcuts. 

Are you able to get a video recording showing it failing using the menu options please? If it is specific to that file, could you also attach that file as well please?

You're using Column Guides which are another different kind of guide. The option you need to use is View > Show Column Guides which is disabled in your video - if you enable that you should then be able to see them. By default it doesn't have a keyboard shortcut however you can customise it to apply one yourself.
