Nothing works on my Affinity Publisher on my other MacBook Pro, although it seems to work on this, my older Pro. I try to make a text frame, and it appears to draw,but when I release the cursor the frame disappears! Text itself does to work, either.

You're in Preview mode, look at the view menu and try the different options to display the text flow and frames.

@Justbeme The title of the thread is there to give a short, to-the-point, precis of the question/statement you are asking/making.
For future threads, can you try and make the title shorter and put most of the detail in the post instead please?
An example for the title of this thread could be something like “When drawing Text Frame, it disappears when I release mouse button”.
