Multiple canvases, and work beyond the canvas, edit grid

So i just downloaded the 10 day trial for affinity designer, a few things I'm missing or not figuring out: I would love to work outside of my canvas, and also have multiple canvas in one document (unless I'm not finding how to do that yet) and also changing how the grid works and looks would be nice, I would love if i can edit it like adobe illustrator. and i already searched this one up but: image trace would also be nice.

What if you use Artboards? There you can edit many canvas as you like.

Open new dokument and make a rectangle with high and width same as the dokument size. Then go to layer menu and select 'convert object to artboard'.
