Linked Publisher documents get displayed as blank pages

I frequently import one Publisher Document into another. It's super handy when you have content reused between several Publisher documents.

Since the release of Affinity Publisher 1.10, these linked documents sometimes get displayed as blank pages. There doesn't seem to be any consistency to when this happens, although it seems more likely to occur if the document was created in an earlier version of Affinity. Documents created in Publisher 1.10, don’t seem to have this issue. Re-saving the document in Publisher 1.10 does not fix it.

Could you uplaod some files exhibiting the problem here please

Hi @Pauls I have uploaded two files.

The first file is Maindocument. This file imports the secondary file (called "00Women0-Search-INSIDE-text").

If you open Maindocument, 90% of the time, the imported pages will appear blank. And when they are blank, they won't export to a PDF. 10% of the time when opening Maindocument, it will appear correct.

It's a weird problem and has only started happening with Publisher 1.10. I have seen it happen on multiple documents and not just this one.

Please advise if I can provide any more info to help.

yes we have recreated this now and rasied an issue for it

This is still an issue in the new Beta (1.10.2.1187) although I've notice it's a lot more hit and miss and sometimes a document will work and other times it won't. Do I need to raise an issue in the beta forum? Thanks!

Just so you know, this is still an issue in 1.10.4

Have you tried it with new documents? Sometimes a broken document is not fixed by running a new release.

Yup. Same problem with new documents (although as with old documents, it will work sometimes).

Here's a work around for anyone who has this problem: Cut the linked document to the clipboard then paste it back. And then it seems to render correctly. But if you save the document and exit, then there's a 50-50 chance that it will become blank again when you re-open.
