LerwaZorz Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Hello, I'm new here. Sorry if wrong forum. I am unable to use Luminar AI, 4 & Aurora HDR and NIK 4 Collection (apart from HDR Efex Pro 2) as plugins in Affinity Photo 1.10.1 They are are all there, under "Photoshop Plugins and "allow "unknown" plugins box is ticked. . I think the AP update broke them apart. OR AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG SOMEWHWERE? Please help. Blessings Kingsley Quote
John Rostron Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Are your images 32-bit? The Nik plugins (apart from HDR Efex) only work on 8-bit or 16-bit images. John Quote Windows 11, Affinity Photo 2.4.2 Designer 2.4.2 and Publisher 2.4.2 (mainly Photo). CPU: Intel Core i5 8500 @ 3.00GHz. RAM: 32.0GB DDR4 @ 1063MHz, Graphics: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050
LerwaZorz Posted September 19, 2021 Author Posted September 19, 2021 Hi John Thanks. After some research from your pointer, I find that you are right. Next question. How do I bring it back to 16bits as I have not indicated that option? See attached. Before upgrading to AP 1.10.1. I was doing ok Blessings Kingsley Quote
Dan C Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Hi @LerwaZorz, Thanks for the screenshot provided 10 minutes ago, LerwaZorz said: How do I bring it back to 16bits as I have not indicated that option? Firstly, for your current document, please navigate to Document > Convert Format/ICC Profile... in the dialog that opens, please change the top drop-down box from RGB/32 to RGB/16 and then select Convert, you should now find that the plugin works as expected. As for future images, this is happening due to your RAW development settings - you can choose to have RAW files be developed into 32bit RGB, or 16bit RGB. To change this setting, please navigate to View > Assistant Manager... and then select Develop Assistant... at the bottom left of this dialog. In the window that opens, change the RAW output format to RGB (16bit) and then select Close. You should now find that developed RAW files can be opened directly in the plugins! Quote
