Charlotte721
Affinity newbie here and hoping someone can help please. I've created an outline of a campervan, but I'd love to change the colour from black to blue. Is there a way I can do this or can you not change a background object? There's various objects as my initial selection wasn't perfect so I'd need the right wing mirror and campervan changing. There is also a rectangle under the windscreen which it lets me change the colour on but I can't work out anything further. I'm a Mac user. Thanks, Charlotte campervan outline BW.afphoto
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Charlotte721. I would probably start by trying the Flood Select Tool to select those pixels, then the Flood Fill Tool to change the color. PixelPest
Maybe: 1. select Background go Filter->Color->Remove White Paper 2. Take Flood Fill or large brush (enable Protect Alpha) choose color and paint over.
Gnobelix
@Charlotte721 welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Some suggestions have already been made. I would do it this way. Steps: 1. The wing mirrors layer (right) and the Background layer combined into one layer, and rename copy-bachground. 2. Select the layer copy-background , then Filter- Color-Remove White Paper. 3. Click with the left mouse button + CTRL on the Thumbnail (a selection is created. 4. Created a new fill layer. 5. Choose a colour of your choice. 6. Group the layers copy-background and the new-fill-layer and deselect the selection. Is a little more elaborate,I hope this helps.
