Rob Luxford
Hi. I rarely use baseline grids. What I do do a lot of is paste content directly onto Publisher pages, quite often from Designer. And just about every time there is text content freshly pasted it snaps to the baseline grid, destroying the integrity of the art I am pasting until I hunt down and turn off the Snap to Baseline grid toggle. Is there a way where we can just not have to go through that? Just deactivate baseline grid for the entire document? Thanks to anyone who can help with this. Kind regards. walt.farrell
You can enable or disable the document baseline grid in the Baseline Grid Manager in Publisher. That should take care of it for you as long as you don't enable the grid in a Text Frame specifically. I opened a Publisher file in Designer could that be an issue, like a failsafe so that one cannot mess up if the file is opened in Publisher ?! I see nothing related to Baseline in Designer apart in the Snapping menu.. and even when turned off it still snaps to baseline grid. You'd think it'd be an obvious setting.. Help There are no Baseline Grid options available in the Designer User Interface. Why not just use Publisher, since it started as a Publisher document? Or use File > Edit in Publisher, reset the settings, and then send it back to Designer. But generally, just keeping it in Publisher is probably simplest.
