Hello everyone, hope you're all doing well.

I am currently struggling with a logo I try to create - I know what I want in terms of the final result but I can't achieve it

As you can see, this is the result I want to achieve. I have the circle (Curve) below the JF outerline and I want to cut the outerline onto the circle but I can't achieve it.

To make it simple, I want the circle to be ''cut'' like this as a single layer but I am struggling.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums @youssefarhi

Here’s one way to do what you want with Expand Stroke – see attached video.
Note: I use the Delete key to remove the nodes while using the Node Tool near the end of the video.

Make sure you keep a copy of your original shapes in case you make a mistake or want to go back and do things differently.

There will be other ways so keep popping back to see if anyone else has posted a reply.
