This would be a popular feature, but the basic Boolean operations need to work reliably before a Shape Builder Tool would be worthwhile.

Just to add to what you said and for those who might not know, the 1.8 Release brought some improvements in that area, but the Divide Operation still needs to be addressed.

I was tempted to mention that specifically in my previous post, but the other Boolean operations can be affected by the winding mode and the curve direction.

It's probably worth mentioning that winding mode and curve direction are often missed/unused as their application isn't immediately understood, and likely fall into advance/expert features. I understand why they've been made visible to users, but these features/settings are often hidden (for a reason) behind intelligent defaults in many other applications. It would be nice to either make the functionality of these features more apparent, and/or look to reduce the need for users to interact with these features regularly.

I understand but to have more of a shape builder tool instead of having to go up and down and around to design for the design all the time makes it time consuming.

Having a shape builder tool would be more efficient to have when making the designs and much more useful when using affinity designer.

Why not just make a shape builder tool to replace the winding and the Boolean tool to make it much easier for designers and not so complicated.

Do what the people are asking and not what you just want to do.

I misspoke earlier, making it sound as though there’s a choice of winding modes. There’s a choice of fill modes, one of which is ‘winding’.

The point about the Shape Builder Tool is that it would be a Boolean tool, but as such it depends on the underlying Boolean operations behaving in a predictable manner. Once those operations are properly sorted out, a Shape Builder Tool would be extremely useful.

Affinity Designer's speed performance is excellent, but suffers from workflow issues with building complex shapes. A shape builder tool would go a long way to improve the work flow.

What affinity designer is missing is the shape builder tool to make designing more easy and much faster. Please consider adding the shape builder tool ASAP in affinity designer so designing doesn’t take r=twice as long.
