evtonic3
How do I change an existing brush stroke to a new brush , but also keep the same stroke size? When I choose a new brush it defaults to the original size it was made at.
Staff stokerg Posted September 6, 2021 Staff Share Posted September 6, 2021 Hi @evtonic3, Currently the only way to do this is with a keyboard connected to your iPad. That would allow you to hold down the ALT/Option key while selecting a new brush, like you can do on desktop and keep size of the stroke. I'll put in an improvement request to get an ALT key added to the on screen modifiers for the Move tool, which would solve this. ronnyb

The Move Tool doesn’t currently have any, but where available they’re on the Context toolbar. Press and hold the one you want to use, just as you would press and hold a modifier key on a keyboard. Here’s a screenshot of the onscreen modifiers for the Node Tool in AD on iPad: Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)

I'm probably confused, but we're taking about brushes. How would adding a modifier for the Move Tool help in this case? I was intrigued by that comment, but some experimenting shows that it does not behave that way in Photo on Windows. Is that really supposed to work? Is that really supposed to work? I was wondering also... Since modifying the brush size is tedious.
