befehr Posted September 4, 2021 Share Posted September 4, 2021 When opening an Designer file in a iCloud folder on my iPad they open in Photo. Is there a way to change/set the default application. Staff Lee D Posted September 6, 2021 Staff Share Posted September 6, 2021 It's the OS/iCloud that determines which app opens the file, as iPadOS has no options to change the default app. Part of the cause will be due to our files being able to be opened in any of our Affinity apps on the same OS or others. We recommend to always open the file from within the app you want to open it in, but this isn't everyones ideal workflow. As long as the default app is setup correctly, the file should open in that app, especially on OS's that have the option (Windows/macOS) can you point me to the threads you've seen this reported.
