devoured_elysium
Hello, I noticed there's a new tool allowing me to select all objects of a given type (for instance, all shapes). That's nice, but especially in large projects of little use unless I could restrict it to only do that in a given area, or if there'd be a simple way to then deselect objects afterwards. As an example, I would like to select all squares in the following picture: What's currently the quickest way of achieving so? Each one of them is currently living inside a group containing both the square and the frame text one can see on it. Thanks!
lacerto
Probably selecting one rectangle and then Select Same > Shape. Often there is a workaround for complex selections, e.g., text objects could perhap be selected and be moved on a separate layer and then locked so that mouse can be used for selection without text becoming selected, etc. devoured_elysium
Old Bruce
Requires planning ahead when you start. When you make them you can apply a 'Tag Colour' in the layers panel and then select according to that. Your circle with text (group) would be made and given a Blue tag then the square with text (group) gets made and given a Green tag. Duplicate the group and change the text but the tags would also be duplicated. devoured_elysium 1 Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.2 Affinity Designer 2.3.1 | Affinity Photo 2.3.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.3.1 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
