norbinw
Hello. When I make a new document with X mm bleed, and then select the artboard and fill with random color, shouldn't that color the whole artboard with bleed and everything? Because recently it only colors the visible area, and when you export with bleed, the bleed is white...
Wosven
Hi @norbinw, Which version and OS? It seems it's solved and I can export with bleed when I've got some artboards on the last update (1.10.1.1142).
norbinw
Latest Mac OS and latest Designer 1.10.1 .. I just noticed this, today (updated today). Exported a file, mailed it, then saw some white lines at edges and was like WTF? back to Designer and artboard is covered only in visible area. Tested w millimeter values, pixel values, everything covers visible area only.
walt.farrell
The export works for me in PDF format, if I make sure that "Include Bleed" is selected under the More... options, and properly shows the bleed. It does not work for me if I export in PNG format, even if I use "Include Bleed". The Bleed content is still not visible in Designer when I use Artboards, as objects that cross the Artboard boundary are still always invisible except for the part that is on the Artboard. norbinw
OFC it is selected, otherwise it would trim to artboard margins at export and we wouldn't see white lines. IF I draw a rectangle covering bleed area and visible area, it exports fine. The problem is with the fill artboard with color "command". It fills only the visible area and stops there. norbinw
MBP 16", so this might not be on windows or M1 Macs!
