JanG
Hi, it might be a stupid question ... I have created a design for a book which I want to reuse for others. So my idea was to open the publisher files for the first book, delete the content of its text frames and refill the text frames with the text for the next book. I am confused, because whenever I try to do this, the actual content of the text frames is invisible but still shows up in reported error messages ('text overflow'). In other words: I want to keep the frames of the first book but get completely rid of its text. Is there a way to do so? (BTW, storing the first book as a template somehow does not work, because surprisingly the text is stored within the template. So whenever I open this template in fact it opens the whole first book. I seem to have done something wrong in the design of it.) Thanks for your help!

You would need to select all the text and delete it. Click in the first of the linked text frames, then Ctrl+A (Windows) or Cmd+A (Mac) then Delete. 34 minutes ago, JanG said: (BTW, storing the first book as a template somehow does not work, because surprisingly the text is stored within the template. A Template contains whatever you put into it: text, images, anything you'd like.
