Vormgevertje
I open a file and Publisher crashes instantly. No reports appear. It just crashes and then nothing... It's not every time. I tried to open other files and these opened completely fine. No problems whatsoever. I have no idea what the difference is... Attached 2 files that made the crash and a crash report from the utilities folder. NotMyFault
Okt. 2020 opens normal on my PC (Win, 1.9.2.1015, and 1.10.1.11), but get a message about missing fonts and missing linked resources. Maybe one of the linked resource is corrupted? Staff Dan C Posted August 27, 2021 Staff Share Posted August 27, 2021 Hi @Vormgevertje, Many thanks for your files and information provided (and for your patience with posting in a new thread!) I too can confirm I have opened these files here, and I'm not seeing the same crashing behaviour. I have re-saved the files with your Linked Documents 'unlinked' and have attached the documents to my response here - can you please confirm if these re-saved files still crash for you? kalender khz_f.afpub kalender khz oktober 2020_f.afpub
Vormgevertje
Thank you very much! (no problem of course opening a new thread - I'm so glad you can help me!) I opened the files you sent, and they opened just fine! So it indeed seems to be a corrupted file. But how can I solve this myself? I cannot unlink files without using publisher. Bigger question is of course: How and when did these files get corrupted? Because I worked without any problems withe these files in the past... Vormgevertje
Sorry... Solution is of course quite simple. I can relocate all the linked files one by one... Dan C
Staff Dan C Posted August 31, 2021 Staff Share Posted August 31, 2021 Apologies for the delay here as we were closed over the 'long weekend' for a UK Bank Holiday! I'm glad to hear you've been able to manually re-link your files On 8/27/2021 at 2:25 PM, Vormgevertje said: Bigger question is of course: How and when did these files get corrupted? Because I worked without any problems withe these files in the past... Our QA team believe there was a new issue introduced with the 1.10 update, which only affects certain older files created by the app. In these cases, relinking the documents resolves the crash - but I'm not certain if we have found the exact cause of this yet. Our team are still investigating this, so I'll be sure to update them with the information provided here and a copy of your document. Many thanks once again!
