There have been several reports of problems with Topaz DeNoise AI recently, including from myself. I have been using DeNoise recently with the latest version of Photo and can report no problems.

I started with a scanned slide of the Sea Anemone Sagartiogeton undatus.

The original had a fair amount of noise from the emulsion in the original slide. This shows the original at 100% showing this noise.

I used Toapz Denoise AI, initially with just 100% Denoise, but it still looked fairly soft, so I added the 100% Enhance Sharpness. The result was:

Much cleaner.

I would strongly recommend Topaz DeNoise AI for cleaning up scanned slides.

Does anybody know if Topaz DeNoise will work with Affinity iPad ?

I am running 1.10.2.266

My Sony images with 100-400 + 1.4 TC can at time be "soft". Shot with Sony a7RIII and typically 1/1000 f8 (Birds are my thing)

Or, does AP have a comparable tool that will help with "crispness" - I am a Beginner Photo Editor

Thanks

Unfortunately our iPad app doesn't support any Plugins at this time, my apologies.

You would need to export from Affinity Photo iOS to an image format, such as TIFF, PNG, JPEG etc - and then transfer this image to a desktop where you could run it through Topaz DeNoise.

You can find out more about denoising on the iPad here -

I hope this helps :)

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
