Would be nice if Affinity team could incorporate them into Designer. At least the vector pen tools.

+1 for that, I have them in illustrator and they are very useful additions.

Another +1 for Astute Graphics (or similar) pen tools for Affinity Designer. They are a huge timesaver – and fun to use!

+1 here too. I am considering moving to Affinity Designer from Illustrator, purely for cost reasons at this point. Vector Tools like Astute Graphics would be a bit plus from my POV.

There are some of Astute Graphics plugin capabilities that I really need.  Vector First Aid, Reform, and Find-Replace capabilities, as well as HotDoor CAD (or any scaling/dimensioning) are of great significance for my functionality.  Due to current finances, I just cut myself off of Adobe CC and risking my professional workflow entirely with Affinity Designer.  I really like what you guys are doing and would LOVE LOVE LOVE to move everything over to Affinity, but I need some of the tedious workhorse-like tools.  Designer is excellent for art and design, but super technical pieces need more tools to accomplish efficiently in Designer.  Would you be able to open up an SDK for third-parties (or yourselves) to fill in the gaps?  I'd be willing to pay more if you could do this.

I also want this. Astute Graphics "simplify" paths is outstanding. We've been using this for vector images drawn with an iPad with a pen. It creates a lot of nodes and have to ve cleaned up. Their's tools is fantastic and I really want this in Affinity Designer. Or  Affinity could create better clean up/optimise tools themselves.

I've always found the Astute Graphics tools indispensable when working with Illustrator, especially Vector First Aid (node clean up and optimization) and Phantasm (non-destructive vector colour control and halftones). Serif is sorely lacking any automated means of cleaning up the large number of nodes it's tools create (this is a very manual task in the Affinity suite), as well as vector colour adjustments (the existing adjustment layers render vectors to bitmap). Ideally tools like these would simply be a part of the Affinity toolset, but if that's not possible hopefully Astute Graphics will see the Affinity apps as a worthwhile investment once the SDK becomes available.
