Roland Rick
I'm on a Mac and by now way I can't make the Topaz Denoise AI Plugin running as filter in Affinity Photo 1.10.0. I really appreciate if someone has a workaround to make this work on Macs. Staff Dan C Posted August 22, 2021 Staff Share Posted August 22, 2021 Hi @Roland Rick, Many thanks for the screen recording provided and I'm sorry to see you're having trouble! Unfortunately I don't have access to Topaz Denoise, and I can't see any immediate issues with your document - my first thought is that the Colour Format (16bit RGB) may be causing this. If you create a copy of this document and convert it to 8bit RGB, or start a new 8bit RGB document, does the plugin work as expected please? Roland Rick
Hi @Dan C, Topaz Denoise AI can open easily 16 bit by the plugin if it's started by photoshop. It also opens directly (not the plugin, the app) without any problems e.g. DNG, all in 16 bit. On a Mac, the plugin simply does not start. John Rostron
When I saw this post on Saturday I tried Topaz Denoise AI on my Windows PC for the first time with Photo 1.10. Having begun to open the file, it then crashed. Today, I have just tried it again, and it works with no problem at all! I use it to remove noise from scanned slides, for which it seems to be very effective. John Yesterday it was working. Today it is not. Windows is like that.
