I have often the problem that AD is freezing when moving a layer. I have to restart the iPad. Is there a solution for this problem?

Hi @jave,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble! This isn't an issue I've heard of previously, so we're going to need some more information here.

Can you please confirm for me:

  • Does this happen in any document, or only specific ones?
  • What is the model of your iPad?
  • What version of iOS and AD are you running?

I'd also like to request a screen recording of this issue please, if you could attach a quick recording of the issue to your response this would be more than helpful!

Many thanks in advance :)

My sincerest apologies for the delayed response, unfortunately I've been unable to replicate this issue here in my testing.

Can you please update to version 1.10.1 (released today) and let me know if this issue still occurs for you? :)

Thanks for your screenshot! I can confirm this is a known bug within Affinity which is logged with our developers to be resolved.

I have 'bumped' the development report with your post now, I hope this clears things up :)

The issue "Layer gets stuck on screen and only vanishes after restart" (REF: AFD-4481) has been fixed by the developers in build "2.2.0 Release".
This fix should be checkable in the current customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
