veracreativeboutique Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Hi there, I have uninstalled the software and also used Revo Uninstaller to remove any additional hidden reg keys. I have now reinstalled the software on Windows 10 and continue to get the same crashing error. Once I open the application then attempt to create a new document the app shuts down immediately. Could there be a conflict with any other programs installed on my PC? I have Cricut and Gimp software currently installed. Thank you, Liz Quote
Komatös Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 Hello @veracreativeboutique and welcome to the forums. Please deactivate the hardware acceleration in the Affinity programme you use. Edit --> Preferences --> Performance. Dan C Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 Welcome to the forums @veracreativeboutique Please do let us know if the above helps, as if disabling Hardware Acceleration does not resolve the crashing then we can look at updating your GPU drivers to help here! Quote
veracreativeboutique Posted August 26, 2021 Author Posted August 26, 2021 The disable and restart has not helped. It still continues to Crash. Quote
Dan C Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 Thanks for trying that for me and I'm sorry to hear this! I'd like to try updating your GPU drivers to the latest version, to do this please visit the manufactures link below to download the latest driver available - - Intel: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html - Nvidia: https://www.geforce.com/drivers - AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-driver-autodetect Note: you may need to go direct to your PC manufactures website for the driver, if you see a warning regarding 'OEM drivers' when trying to install one from the above sites. Once downloaded, please select the 'Clean Install' option during installation, as this will remove all old drivers from your machine in the same process. Once completed, please restart your computer and then launch the Affinity app again. Does this reduce the crashing behaviour you're seeing please? Quote
