Johan Havermans Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 I've been looking for a few days now how I can batch export PNG images to PDF. --- On a daily base I like to batch resize about 40 to 200 PNG images and then export each image to a PDF file that is saved to a fixed directory. So, if I have 40 source images in one (fixed) directory, the result is 40 PDF documents in another (fixed) directory. --- I created a macro to cover the resize task. I also created a preset for exporting to PDF format, but I haven't figured out how I put the two together in a batch job. When I try to make a macro in Affinity Photo Persona to export to PDF I get an error "Cannot record export item". When I switch to Affinity Export Persona, and create a New Batch Job, all I seem to choose of is to save in AFPhoto, JPEG, PNG, TIFF and OpenEXR. Would anyone please be so kind to point me in the right direction in how I can accomplish this? Thank you. Quote
Komatös Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Hello and welcome to the forums, @Johan Havermans Unfortunately, there is no selection for PDF in the "New batch job". This would be worth a post in Feedback & Suggestions. I'm afraid you will have to do the export manually. Johan Havermans Posted August 20, 2021 Author Posted August 20, 2021 Hi David, Hi Komatös, Thank you both for your comments. I tried what David mentioned and it worked! A great joy after a week searching and trying 🙂 Now I can start find a way to automate it all. Once I understand better of what I am doing, I consider Komatös' suggestion to add PDF to the list of export options as a feature request for the less advanced users among us. Thank you very much again! Johan Quote
