I first noticed this with AF files but also tired with JPG.

  1. Open several JPG images.
  2. Click on the image that is not currently viewed
  3. Click back to original
  4. Continue...
  5. The images shift to upper left hand corner

This is especially annoying when working with similar edits to multiple files.

Screen shots show various shifts between images as they move to upper left corner

The laptop is a 4k display and it seems that the fonts are smaller with the 1.10 release.  I'm wondering if there was a change to how display resolutions are being handled.

I can try on my 4k laptop once it's done updating itself. It could be the screen size then as I work from a 4k 27" monitor.

I figured it out!  So I have a second monitor hooked up to my laptop (BenQ SW271 27" - set to 4k).  But, the scaling was set to 200% for the BenQ and the Laptop was 250%.  If I have a windows file manager folder open on the BenQ and double click an Affinity file to open AP, the splash screen opens on the BenQ but the app opens on the laptop.  It's at that point I have the shifting issue.  If I double click the file on a file that is on the laptop display, the splash opens on the laptop and the app as well... and I no longer get shifting in the images.

By setting both to 250%, it doesn't matter where I open the files since the scaling is the same on both displays.... and no more shifting.

Pics included show setup and splash screen opening via double clicking file.

The other solution would be...

If the app is opening on the last monitor / display where is running previously, then the logo should start there as well since it seems to be determining the resolution / scaling for the app.

I meant to say I tried this at the weekend and couldn't reproduce it.

I have seen reports similar to this before but I didn't realise you were connecting it to a monitor - I should have guessed that really.

Agreed. I think it might take into account the order the displays power on but I could be wrong.
