dverleysen Posted August 19, 2021 Posted August 19, 2021 I'm a Photoshop user and I'm curious about Affinity Photo. Bought this week Affinity Photo to check if this is something for me. In Photoshop I adjust always a set of ±200 pictures with the same settings (indoor and outdoor sport photos). I create a preset with 'Camera raw' in Photoshop and save this. After that I create an action. Action is like...: - Open picture - Use 'camera raw' preset - resize picture - And save picture How can I create such a workflow in Affinity Photo? In Photoshop I have a list with presets with different settings, eg. "indoor sports hall 1", "indoor sports hall 2", ... "outdoor ...", ... and i can re-use these presets. I've already discovered "Develop Persona" (strange name ) where I can adjust my image and save a preset, but I can not use this preset in a Macro. There's somewhere a nice tutorial that I can follow or this is not yet possible in Affinity Photo? Thanks a lot! Quote
NotMyFault Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately there is no direct replacement in Affinity Photo for this workflow. If you want to mass-process 200 images with priority on throughput (not quality), you may use some tricks. Instead of Developing images individually, you could create a New Stack, and add lots of RAW images (limit to 20 images initially to avoid issues) Affinity will run a simplified RAW conversion (no adjustments possible). Remove the stack Then continue to edit the image layers in Photo Persona Use self-created LUTS as a way to apply lots of adjustments in one step Use Macros to apply filters / adjustments which cannot be materialized in a LUT Use Export Persona to mass-export layers Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.
