Affinity Designer /Photo shuts down when I start and open recent documents

I am having issues with my Affinity software both Designer and Photo. when I start to launch both programs, they seem to run fine.

However, when I start a New Document or even open up a document, both programs will shut down and close. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling ,

but nothing seems to change. I am running Windows 10 , i7, 16gb hard drive Laptop. and it is operating just fine. I haven't changed anything 

for this to happen can you please help?

Can you please check for crash reports in the following location:

Affinity Store version - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports\reports

Microsoft Store version - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Store)\CrashReports\reports

You can access the AppData folder by pressing the Windows key + R on your keyboard and then just type %AppData%

I believe I've seen similar issues before and it was relating to the colour profiles on the machine but we'll get to that once I have had a look at the crash reports.
