Jim Cassidy Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 How do I create a segment of a circle in Designer. In Graphic for iPad, I could draw a circle and then erase unwanted parts. I did see some instructions on creating an arc shape, but that didn’t help. Quote
Alfred Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, Jim. Use the Pie Tool to create segments of a circle. Jim Cassidy Posted August 22, 2021 Author Posted August 22, 2021 Thanks for the help. It looks like once I have the pie created I need to move the radius point into the curved edge of the pie for it to be an actual circle segment, but it worked. Quote
Alfred Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 I actually thought you wanted to end up with a pie slice rather than an arc! If you move the central point to create a donut segment of zero thickness you’ll get an arc visually, but it doubles back on itself. A better solution is to convert the original pie slice to a curve, break the curve at the central point and then delete the resultant two nodes.
