BRlombardi Posted August 18, 2021 Posted August 18, 2021 Hello everyone. I've bought Huion H1161 pen tablet and started to use it yesterday but I'm experiencing some kind of incompatibility with all the Affinity softwares. I've set the lower button to be used as mouse middle button to move my artboards/pages but it doesn't work. I tried to change the stylus button as "space" but still having the same result. Is there anyone else with the same problem? Huion Client Support sent me a software to test the button and it is totally functional what makes me think the Affinity softwares have an incompatibility problem with Huion Stylus. Quote
Dan C Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Hi @BRlombardi, Sorry to hear you're having trouble and my apologies for the delayed response! Within Affinity, can you please navigate to Edit > Preferences > Tools and let me know what setting is set for Tablet Input Method here please? Many thanks in advance Quote

This is the Windows method for accessing settings in Affinity, the mac version uses [Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher] > Preferences. 7 minutes ago, PixelPest said: Will Tablet Input Method just appear when tablet is connected? As far as I understand, this dropdown menu setting should show regardless of if a tablet is connected - Quote
PixelPest Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Didn´t noticed it´s about Windows. That is what I get: (no tablet connected) Quote
Dan C Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Not to worry - although the OP didn't explicitly state, I can see using our internal admin tools that they're a Windows user 2 minutes ago, PixelPest said: That is what I get: (no tablet connected) Thanks for the screenshot! I've just been informed by our QA team that this setting is for Windows only. I understand these settings are based on 'Windows INK', so I expect this is why it is not available on Mac - I hope this clears things up! Quote
PixelPest Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Just wanted to be sure. Thanks for the info. Dan C 1 Quote

It was set to low precision. I changed to high but I'm still having the same result. My main problem is that sometimes the button function works well and sometimes it doesn't. I've made a video to show the problem take a look: https://photos.app.goo.gl/i1Di9cpUs5zVeTyp6 Quote
Dan C Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Thanks for confirming that for me! According to another thread here on the forums, disabling 'Windows Ink' should ensure the shortcut works as expected. Can you please make sure that Windows Ink is also disabled through the Huion drivers? As far as I can see from other sites, this should simply be a checkbox within the Driver settings under 'Pen'. Please do let me know if this helps Quote

I'll try to resolve it with Huion. Thank you very much Dan! Have a nice day buddy. Cheers Dan C 1 Quote
