Jim Slade
On Mojave 10.14.6, Affinity 1.10.0 If I open and JPEG file, create an adjustment layer, change gamma, merge, and save, repeatedly for different files, I eventually start getting this error whenever I try to open a file: "The file could not be opened because permission was denied." At that point I have to restart Affinity.
SPaceBar
Hi @Jim Slade Can you tell me where you are saving your files please? I'd like to try and recreate this as close as possible.
Jim Slade
I am saving them in Documents on my local disk.
SPaceBar
If you place other images into the document from another location such as the desktop, do you still get the same error message?
Jim Slade
Yes, once this happens, I cannot read any files.
SPaceBar
Did you purchase Photo from the Mac App Store or from the Affinity Store? I have found an issue that has been reported and just want to make sure it's the same thing you are experiencing.
Jim Slade
Affinity Store.
SPaceBar
How are you opening the files? Do you double click the file thumbnail or from within Photo choose File > Open that way? Do you have another user profile on your Mac that you could try this on? I'd like to see if it's something to do with the permission on the profile rather than the files themselves.
