Seems to work fine for me also.

Have you tried other photos to see if it might be a problem with just that photo? Is that your photo or one downloaded from the internet for say a tutorial? I'm asking because it looks somewhat familiar to me, like one provided with a tutorial, and was really a bad example file to use.

Could you attach you afphoto file so we can try to find why it's not working for you?

I've attached one of my Canon CR2 (RAW) files, that I've just tested the haze filter on. Try applying the filter on it, it should work. If not then there's something on your system we need to look at.

Also attached is that CR2 file after I developed it, showing that the Haze filter does work.

Thanks Ron!

It was very late so I've tried to find out what happened and went straight to bed :)
Just tested with few other RAWs and yes, it works!
Again with original picture I've mentioned and it works!!!
But I can still provoke it on afphoto, will try to attach it (300Mb) so switch off all layers except background one and try Dehaze - still doesn't work at me but pixel layer above is OK.

maybe you can dig out something (cheap Nvidia 1030 here and latest drivers)

Downloaded and tried opening your file, but I get the File Type is not supported. So I'm guessing there's something in the file, AP doesn't like.

EDIT: It was the file name. For some reason AP doesn't like the numbers. I renamed it, and now it opens.

I see what you mean. The Haze Filter has zero affect on this image.

One thing that I don't understand why, the Distance Slider is by default, over 3/4 way to the right. I would think it would be half or none. I understand that AP analyzes the image first. Even then, while analyzing, the slider is way to the right, so I don't think that has anything to do with it. Maybe Serif needs to look at that filter.

It's looking like the Haze Removal algorithm does not see any haze in the original image

It only works after you have run some noise reduction on the image which makes it more blurry/hazy - then it sees some 😄

and then if I reopen RAW as a new work it sees haze from the start

as there were no other reports of this, let's call it a glitch and forget it for now
