New Version destroys my work! Big random rectangle cutouts on working layer. Irreversible!

I guess this issue hasn't just been brought to their attention much, because it may require a certain way of working with the programm (more complex and demanding...). It may not show upin benchmark tests at all. And many pros who tried the program and bumped into several different issues have moved on from Affinity anyway.

At this stage, Affinity is not really used by many pros, because it is just not reliable enough in many aspects. I had a lot of issues with Affinity Publisher too. Went through a lot of threads dedicated to a truckload of problems that needed workarounds ....

I read this thread with interest, I have not seen this bug but I suffered from the export bug (export not reflecting changes made) for a very long time. However since I changed to iPadOS 16 beta, that problem which I thought as an Affinity problem has gone away completely.

Now I know Apple have been changing how virtual memory works in recent IOS versions and there is quite a major change to handle Stage Manager functionality so for those of you who have multiple iPads, I would suggest signing your old iPad up to the beta program or wait until next month to see if that fixes these issues.

Since I am working on an iPad pro pre M1 chip, I was wondering if theres is anyone here working on a newer iPad Pro with the M1 chip and has (or has not for that matter) experienced this bug, since it seems to have to do with virtual memory/RAM.

Anyone with an iPad Pro with M1 chip here interested in testing one of my files?

The issue "Document corruption when painting/zooming" (REF: AFP-4912) has been fixed by the developers in build "2.2.0 Release".
This fix should be checkable in the current customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
