Bill Warner
A month we purchases Affinity for improving our photos. We have Window 10. This morning I was using the clone tool with no problems but this afternoon it will not copy. Is there a button I have pushed to cause the clone tool not to work? I turned off & on my computer but that did not help.
Komatös
Hell @Bill Warner and welcome to the forums. Maybe you have forgotten one step, so can you tell about your workflow? Or better, can you provide a screen-recording of the steps you do? RichardMH
Without any more details its hard to know what's happened. Do you have Current Layer and Below checked? Its the usual way I get it wrong. Or I forget to create a pixel layer.

I move the circle to the area on my picture I want to copy, I push on alt & click & move the circle to the place I want to copy & it does nothing. it doesn't make sense. Komatös
Is the layer you will work on a pixel layer or a image layer? An image layer has to rasterize to manipulate them. When I have trouble with the Clone/Stamp tool I find that i have the opacity too low or I am using a brush with built in low opacity. Choose a Basic brush set the opacity to 100% Make sure you have a pixel layer chosen that has something you wish to actually copy/clone/stamp as pixels. I changed the layer and now it works. Thank you, thank you so much.
