Upgrading to Affinity Designer for 1.10.0

Does this update affect those of us staying with Mac OS 14.5 Mohave?

I cannot upgrade to Catalina and have been concerned that ADesigner 1.10 will not be as trouble free in Mohave as the 1.8.3 I run now.

Welcome to the Affinity Forums and my apologies for the delayed response here, we are extremely busy following our 1.10 update and working from home during the pandemic is unfortunately extending our response window to be longer than normal, many thanks for your continued patience and understanding here.

I can confirm that the update is supported by your MacOS version - however the 'My Account' feature will not be available, as this required Sierra or higher.

I can't guarantee this, but 1.10 will have many bug fixes and improvements over 1.8.3 (as this was released in April 2020).

The easiest way to test this would be to install the 1.10 beta version alongside your 1.8.3 retail version, so you can test the apps side-by-side. Please find this beta version linked below -

Should you find the update is working as expected for you in the beta, you could then download and install the retail update as you wish. I hope this helps

Hi Dan and Affinity Moderators,

I wanted to report back on my Designer Beta 1.10 experience on Mac Mojave 10.14.5.

The parallel installation option you offered was a lifesaver.

After a month of using the Beta, I have experienced no problems and very stable performance.

A pleasant surprise were the alerts that appeared when I opened Aff. Designer files created with earlier AD versions and could make a copy for use with the Beta - protecting my original files.
