affinity photo Turn a sunset image into an HDR using Affinity Photo and G'MIC

Here I have taken an original image of a beautiful sunset and using the G'Mic plugin with Affinity Photo created some artistic HDR versions of the Image. Using a variation on the HDR merge technique.

Here is an Eerie effect using the GMIC Ghost, Freaky Black and White, Aura, and Chromacity plugins. This was created using the stack function with mean pass-through. Rasterize and Trim and then tweaked in the Develop Persona.

That Ghost and Aura effect are very effective.

Yeah, right! Disabled, so the social services assigned me a housekeeper and other services because it is cheaper for them than paying for a nursing home.

True, though of course they also don’t want to put people to nursing homes if those people can still live independently with just some help. I mean, nobody wants to go to a nursing home unless they really need round-a-click care.

Thanks for the heads up on that.  I was sure that G'MIC was only a Windows based thang!  However, having had a quick look again, I now see that it is possible to do some kinda work around for a Mac, (which I'm on) so I'll give it a go  and see what turns up (that's if the workaround works)

I use the G'Mic plugin for Gimp 2.8 when either 2D or 3D post processing a finalized output and as a FOSS image editing FX library, quite a versatile alternative in my humble opinion compared with subscription based Adobe solutions i.e. PS - Ai.
