The default is to enable Hardware Acceleration if your graphics card and driver seem to handle the OpenCL functions that Affinity requires.

If you can't get to Preferences, try:

Too bad.

You might try an application reset by pressing and holding the Ctrl key before you click on the application icon in your Start menu or desktop. Keep Ctrl pressed until you see the application in the taskbar, then click on its icon in the task bar. Still keep Ctrl pressed until you get the Clear User Data dialog. In that dialog, you can leave the first 3 items checked, but also check the final item (Reset Account Data). Then click Clear.

If that works, you'll be prompted to Register your account again, and it will have deleted any content previously sync'd from the Affinity Store (brushes, assets, etc.). Your issue may be with one of the free asset packs from the Store (iOS 11 pack), so if this works, do not synchronize that one again.

Tried the reset and a no go.  Will delete 1.10 and reinstall 1.9 and see what happens.
