Koshpeli Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 I am having to save frequently because since upgrading to 1.10, documents periodically get the "can't save" error message. What I've discovered is that pressing Ctrl + S to save sometimes makes my most recent change revert. I had a layout mistake that affected a lot of pages of a 280 page document, so I'm going back and changing margins, realigning textframes, and images and so on. So far it looks like the only error that gets reverted is when I try to realign all the elements to horizontally center to the page margin (having already created a new page master with the correct margins). I unlock the layer (Edit Detached), press Center Align in the Alignment Toolbar and it aligns. I press Ctrl + S and it goes back to how it was. Usually if I do it 2 or 3 times, it turns out fine. If not, I press Finish to stop editing the layer and then save! Looking forward to getting 1.10 working because this is a monster document with lots of tables and images that has been really slow to work with! Quote

Koshpeli Posted August 8, 2021 Author Posted August 8, 2021 (edited) Yes, it is possible it reverts to Cancel sometimes and not other times. I usually don't bother to press Apply and have never had problems, but maybe I need to get into the habit. I just had it happen again so I paid attention, and I noted that the APPLY button greyed out after I pressed Ctrl = S and the changes reverted too. I had to hit cancel, reopen Alignment, re-align, and then I did press Apply and it worked. EDIT: And I just had it happen again, so for fun I just kept reapplying and saving until it worked, without hitting Cancel So it's a bit moody, but not the end of the world, if I need to hit APPLY. Was just hoping not to, so I can bang through and fix my mistakes Edited August 8, 2021 by Koshpeli walt.farrell 1 Quote
Staff Gabe Posted August 10, 2021 Staff Posted August 10, 2021 Hi both, This is not really a bug. You're not applying the transform, so expecting the effect to get applied is not the best practice. Either Apply or click outside the box, then Save. Koshpeli 1 Quote
