@Richard Curry

Which Antivirus and Firewall software do you run?

As @Komatös wrote above, whichever they are they are giving you a totally false positive.  Depending on which they are you may need to whitelist Photo.exe AND inform the manufacturers of the software about the false positive.

Win 11 Pro, intel i7 14700, NVidia GTX 4060, 32G RAM, intel UHD 770.

Long-time user of Serif products, chiefly PagePlus and PhotoPlus, but also WebPlus, CraftArtistProfessional and DrawPlus.  Delighted to be using Affinity Designer, Photo, and now Publisher, version 1 and now version 2.

iPad Pro (12.9") (iOS 18.2) running Affinity Photo and Designer version 1 and all three version 2 apps.

What provided this messge? Was it the Operating System? If so, was it Windows or Mac?

Or was it your anti-virus software? If so what software?

If it is not antivirus software, it may be a message from the web browser.
I also get a message with almost every executable file that the file may be harmful. But since I trust my AV software more, I ignore the message from the web browser.

Where are you trying to download the Affinity installation file from?

Are you sure about the file name - it should be affinity-photo-1.10.0.exe

Are you being prevented from downloading the file, or running it once it's downloaded?  If it won't download that might mean that McAfee doesn't like the file name.

AP, AD & APub user, running Win10
