Komatös Posted August 8, 2021 Posted August 8, 2021 Your antivirus give you a false positive message. You can ignore them. If you do not trust use https://virustotal.com to validate. emmrecs01 Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 @Richard Curry Which Antivirus and Firewall software do you run? As @Komatös wrote above, whichever they are they are giving you a totally false positive. Depending on which they are you may need to whitelist Photo.exe AND inform the manufacturers of the software about the false positive. Komatös Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 If it is not antivirus software, it may be a message from the web browser. I also get a message with almost every executable file that the file may be harmful. But since I trust my AV software more, I ignore the message from the web browser. IanSG Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 Where are you trying to download the Affinity installation file from? On 8/9/2021 at 4:16 PM, Richard Curry said: affinity-photo-1-10-0 exe was block because it may harm your device Are you sure about the file name - it should be affinity-photo-1.10.0.exe Are you being prevented from downloading the file, or running it once it's downloaded? If it won't download that might mean that McAfee doesn't like the file name. Quote AP, AD & APub user, running Win10
