Trying to load a large file with a stack of images. The file is about 2GB. My video card memory fills up quickly (6GB on the card) and then the app crashes every time.

I am also experiencing  crashes when working with a large stack of images. However most of the components to the images are vector shapes. The file itself is less than 16 megs. The previous version of Affinity Photo was very stable with this many layers. This latest version (1.10.0.1127) is horribly unstable. I am just doing transforms to a  group and it will crash to desktop. the groups are nested fairly deep for organization.

It is disappointing that I upgraded. is there a way of downgrading without having to uninstall?

Please try disabling OpenCL from Preferences > Performance.

A crash report may also be useful and can be found here:

Affinity Store version - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports\reports

Microsoft Store version - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Store)\CrashReports\reports

Beta - Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Beta)\CrashReports\reports

You can acccess the AppData folder by pressing the Windows key + R on your keyboard and then just type %AppData%
