KarmaKuiama Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Since upgrading to 1.10.0 I have had this problem. Selecting the Text layer & Mask to Below to create image within text. The resulting screen shows random blocks of pixel data. These change when zooming in or out. I notice also, with Text Background layer selected, the Bounding Box changes on right side. Not sure if this is expected. Full File with History Kelburn Issue.afphoto Quote
Staff MEB Posted August 9, 2021 Staff Posted August 9, 2021 Hi @KarmaKuiama, I'm having trouble reproducing this here. Can you post a screenshot of your Mac specs please (menu Apple > About This Mac, Overview tab)? Make sure the serial number is hidden from the screenshot. Thanks. KarmaKuiama Posted August 9, 2021 Author Posted August 9, 2021 (edited) Upon further investigation, the root of the problem seems to lie in the Layer Effects on the Text Background layer. Activating the Preserve alpha parameter of Gaussian Blur seems to negate the problem. Edited August 9, 2021 by KarmaKuiama . Quote
Staff MEB Posted August 9, 2021 Staff Posted August 9, 2021 Hi @KarmaKuiama, Thanks for the additional info and specs. I'm convinced this is an issue with hardware acceleration for users with an Intel UHD Graphics 630 chip. Can you please go to Affinity Preferences, Performance section and untick Enable Metal compute acceleration? Then reload the document and check if you are still experiencing the same issue.
