Aliceinar Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 (edited) I have worked for 8 hours on a document, only to find it won't save! Got the same message as others: Saved failed due to an internal error. Notify developers. I started with a pre-update document and did a "save as," in 1.10 and then made multiple changes. After the changes, i can no longer save. I have tried everything I can think of--tried opening in Photo and in Designer. Could not open it in either. Tried saving to file--no go. Tried saving to pdf--no go. It WILL EXPORT TO A PDF! Looking at properties, i see zero data, so apparantly nothing has saved in this document, AND it looks like it wiped out my original data since i started with data before the first save. I have not tried to replicate as I've been working all day on this piece of material I must have by Sunday. PLEASE tell me I don't have to start over! GarryP Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Welcome to the forums @Aliceinar If the phone number in your post is a real one then you would be advised to remove it so that it doesn’t get used for ‘nefarious purposes’.Note: As far as I know, Serif doesn’t contact people directly by phone or via remote connection to individual machines. Kelle Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 I have noticed the same problem. The first save for the document works, but after that I need to close the software and start it again. Closing the document is not enough. The newly updated version is running on a windows 10 PC. Quote

Wicked Stepmother Posted August 13, 2021 Posted August 13, 2021 I opened Publisher this morning and was informed of the new update - I updated and then started work on a partially completed Parish magazine. I have just spent all morning on the document and now it tells me it can't save it. I have tried re-naming the document - it saves but the saved document says it has zero Kb and when I try to open it this is what I get. So please don't tell me I have to to start from scratch. I can see others on here with the same problem - why are you still telling us to upgrade when this has been going on for days? What can I do to salvage my document ???? Quote

Installiere die neuste Beta öffne die letzte gespeicherte Version wähle die Rahmen einzelner Seiten des (CTRL+A) und kopiere sie (CTRL+C) wechsle zum Dokument in der Beta und füge den Inhalt ein (CTRL+V) wiederhole das für alle betroffenen Seiten Speichere das Dokument anschliessend installierst du wieder die Version 1.9.2 und arbeitest dort weiter.
