OKy Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 After updating AP to the newest Version 1.10.0 I was not able to activate OpenCL-Acceleration tue to a missmatching Windows version. System: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT Graphicsdriver: Radeon Software 21.6.1 Quote
walt.farrell Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 That doesn't say you have a Windows version mismatch. It says that you need Windows 10 (specific version or newer) and a modern GPU. As the rest of the message indicates, you have the right Windows 10 version, so the issue is with your GPU. Komatös Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 @walt.farrell, the RX 5000 and RX 6000 are modern GPUs. Unmodern is the OpenCL driver. OKy Posted August 5, 2021 Author Posted August 5, 2021 @walt.farrell thank you for that link. I didn't found this information. So again it's up to AMD to fix the driver. But the error message could be better (if the API would allow this) so it would not be that confusing. walt.farrell 1 Quote
Jrockwar Posted August 9, 2021 Posted August 9, 2021 This is happening to me as well on a Surface Pro X (Qualcomm Adreno 685 GPU) and Windows 11. Affinity 1.9.2 Apps work fine and let me enable OpenCL. I also tried the 1.10 Beta when I was running W10 with the same results, GPU acceleration not available but working correctly on 1.9.2. Does this sound like it is the same issue? I can raise a new one or add more details if necessary, although I'm not sure what I can provide that might be useful (other than another near-identical screenshot with the details mentioned on the first paragraph).
