Publisher 1.9.2.1035 silently crashes when opening existing project (no crash logs)

I've had the same issue as other posters, with Affinity Publisher hanging on opening a 482kb file, in my case with no linked media. When I open the file, the last pages I had selected show with the text blurred, and the interface seems to resize to go off the edge of the screen (bottom status bar and close buttons no longer visible.) No button clicks or keyboard strokes register.

I've tried making a new file and using 'Add pages from file' and it does recover the info, but I'm paranoid I'm missing document settings and info that I set many months ago. I'm against a tight deadline and this is really not helping!
