Heiko Petersen
Hi, if I open a PDF in Affinity Publisher 1.92, which was created in Dorico (Music notation), I get a warning, that the font "BravuraText" is missing. I can exchange it with "Bravura Text" and everything is o.k. I've checked, that the font is installed correctly on my system. Don't know, if this is an Affinity or a Steinberg problem. Would be glad, if this could be resolved. Opening the PDF in Adobe Reader or other programs is no problem.
Alfred
Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums, Heiko. 43 minutes ago, Heiko Petersen said: if I open a PDF in Affinity Publisher 1.92, which was created in Dorico (Music notation), I get a warning, that the font "BravuraText" is missing. If it’s recorded as “BravuraText” in the PDF file but the installed font is named “Bravura Text” (with a space in the middle) they will be treated as two different fonts. 46 minutes ago, Heiko Petersen said: Don't know, if this is an Affinity or a Steinberg problem. Adobe Reader interprets embedded fonts, but unless you use ‘passthrough’ the Affinity apps depend on having matching fonts installed on your system. Heiko Petersen
Thank you for your answer, Alfred. That's what I was expecting. I wonder, why other programs are more forgiving than Affinity?

As I mentioned in my previous post, the Affinity apps don’t interpret embedded fonts when you open a PDF file. Because Adobe Reader and other apps do interpret embedded fonts, it doesn’t matter to them that you don’t have any installed fonts which match precisely. Fixx
Those more forgiving programs may replace font with similar name but slightly different kerning or encoding causing problems in layout..
Heiko Petersen
Yes, but in this case it is just a question of one space character. "Bravura Text" vs. "BravuraText". Never mind. I will just go on and tell Publisher, which font to use to "replace" it ...
