Andy678 Posted August 4, 2021 Posted August 4, 2021 Hi I'm a complete newbie, I've searched online for an answer and couldn't find one. I'm in the process of sorting out our club logo. I'm trying to colour fill open curves, is this possible? The open curves are the black lines and I'm trying to colour fill the ball shape behind the snake. Hope this makes sense. logo ball issue.afdesign Quote
GarryP Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 Welcome to the forums @Andy678 Your black curves are already filled. I think what you want to do is fill the space ‘inside’ those curves, which is a different thing. The easiest way is probably to duplicate the existing curves, then remove the ‘inside’ nodes, then put the new curves behind the old ones, and then fill the curves – see attached image. You may need to be careful but it’s not difficult. More care taken will help to get a better result. Quote
Andy678 Posted August 5, 2021 Author Posted August 5, 2021 Hi Garry, Thanks so much for the reply. Your answer makes perfect sense and your correct that’s what I was trying to do. Every day is a school day. Thanks again, Andy. Quote
GarryP Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 You’re welcome. Be careful where the curves butt against each other – e.g. the upper-right of the lower shape where the black and green areas don’t quite ‘join’. This can probably be mitigated by a better layering order. A single shape for the ball outline might also help, rather than four layers. Quote
